El fiscal de distrito de Manhattan, Alvin Bragg, envió un correo electrónico a su personal el sábado asegurándoles que su seguridad es "la máxima prioridad" después de que el expresidente Donald Trump llamara a sus seguidores a protestar por su acusación supuestamente inminente.
"No toleramos los intentos de intimidar a nuestra oficina o amenazar el estado de derecho en Nueva York", dijo Bragg en el memorando, que NBC News obtuvo de un alto funcionario de la oficina del fiscal de distrito de Manhattan.
La oficina de Bragg ha estado investigando la conexión de Trump con un pago de dinero secreto realizado a la estrella porno Stormy Daniels durante su primera candidatura a la presidencia en 2016. En una publicación en las redes sociales el sábado, Trump dijo que espera ser arrestado el martes, citando filtraciones de la oficina del fiscal "corrupto". Instó a sus seguidores a protestar en su nombre.
